I am always a big fan of choosing an activity to center your engagement shoot around. Who says you can’t do something fun and think outside the typical engagement shoot box when planning your photo session?! Pretty photos of you two in a lovely location is always great. But, gorgeous photos of you and your fiance’ while doing something that you love to do together at an epic spot?! EVEN BETTER.
SUP Paddle Boarding
For couples that love the water, Paddle Boarding (or SUP for Stand Up Paddle) is such a fun and easy option as an alternative to your typical engagement photos. Personally, I LOVE to paddle board and so when I find a couple that is into this sport as well, I always offer this as an option for their session! I mean, can it get any more fun and flirty than splashing around and having a water fight while just wearing your bathing suits? Well, I mean, it could… but we try to keep it PG13 around here 😉
Paddle boarding has gained a lot of popularity as a water sport over the past few years, and for good reason. This safe, low-impact sport makes it easy to get outside and get some exercise. And for photo purposes, paddle boards are relatively easy to balance on. That makes it perfect for you and your boo to cuddle up together on one! Or, if you’d rather have your own SUP, that’s great too. You can save all the cuddles for in the water.
